Our Story

The Sixth Grade Promise was founded on a simple belief: every student's attendance tells a story. Too often, chronic absenteeism is treated as a discipline issue rather than a signal that a child or family needs support. We exist to help schools and families identify the barriers behind absenteeism and connect students with the resources they need to succeed. While our name honors the importance of the sixth-grade transition, our commitment extends to students and families facing attendance challenges wherever support is needed.
